Mission Certification & Education Program
A significant principle of PMI and the Atlanta chapter is the promotion of project management education in general, and specifically the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. One of PMI Atlanta's solid objectives is to enrich the professional lives of its members, whether it be on continuing education, certification or training. Therefore our mission is simple: Promote and sustain project management professional expertise through project management certification and educational opportunities.

PM Education - Four key areas include:
PMP Exam-Prep Class
- Take your career to the next level! This course is designed to prepare participants to take the Project Management Professional certification exam. The 5 day course is offered on a quarterly basis at various locations in the metro Atlanta area. You'll get hands-on instruction covering all the topic areas required to pass the PMP exam.
PM Essential Facts Class
- Looking to get into the project management profession? This course designed to align the student's project experiences with the framework of Project Management as defined in the Project Management Institute (PMI) ANSI Standard "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, PMBOKŠ Guide 2000".
PM Seminars
- For intensive learning experiences. We offer full, single-day or multi-day events focused on specific topics. These events are the most advanced coverage of a topic offered by the chapter. The Chapter Certification & Education Team coordinates these high quality programs. On average, there are 2-3 programs held annually.
PM Mini-Seminars
- The objective of the Mini-Seminar series is to offer PMPs a cost- and
time- efficient venue to earn 20 PDUs annually to maintain their certification. The Atlanta Chapter of PMI sponsors local experts to share knowledge and experience on targeted aspects of project management. These popular seminars are conducted on Saturday mornings four times a year.
