Participants will have the opportunity to frame their “9 to 5” efforts not as just a job, but a career.

This professional development seminar is designed to help attendees design, craft, and implement a personal career plan and treat it as a project. By the end of this seminar, participants will be able to articulate their personal career plan through a clear vision and mission (core doctrine), a well-aligned strategy (scope and objectives), a well-defined action plan (project plan), and regular check-ups and adjustments (monitor and control plan).

Instructor: Chris Wright, CPLP®, MPM, PMP®

Christopher (Chris) J Wright is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Certified Professional of Learning and Performance (CPLPTM) with over twenty (20) years of project leadership, mentoring, consulting, and organizational learning and development experience. 
Mr. Wright specializes in maximizing human capital performance through optimally aligned adult learning systems, leadership development and effective project management expertise.

Chris is Founder, President, and Managing Principal of TANDEN, a human and organizational performance optimization firm based in Raleigh, NC. TANDEN is in the business of helping organizations successfully reach their desired project delivery goals and maximizing efficiencies through relevant and targeted adult learning programs. TANDEN provides learning and development, project management and leadership consulting services designed to bolster the skills and aptitudes of the organization’s human capital – its team members. At TANDEN, Mr. Wright has worked with organizations in a multitude of industries including: Health/Hospital Care, Crop Science, Financial Services, Department of Defense, Consumer Retail, Food and Beverage, Consumer Food and Beverage Products, City and State Governments, Higher Education, Wireless Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

Prior to TANDEN, Chris worked as a Senior Program and Project Manager in the wireless telecommunications industry leading cutting edge wireless data/Internet projects. 

Chris has a Master’s degree in Project Management (MPM) from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Spanish from Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) where he served as the Vice President of Education for the North Carolina chapter of PMI (NCPMI). Mr. Wright has also been certified by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) as an Instructional Practitioner (formerly known as Professionally Qualified, or PQ) through its Bridge Program.

Chris serves as a Board Member and Event Director for a Raleigh-based charitable organization, The Bald Entrepreneurs. In the past six years, The Bald Entrepreneurs has raised over $450,000 for childhood cancer research. In his spare time, Chris is a baseball coach, writes about historical ironies, and also enjoys the great outdoors – particularly golf, mountain biking, camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing.
