Description:
The Project Management Institute's Program Management Professional credential (PgMP®) defines the global standard of best practices for program management professionals. This course provides a comprehensive review of the performance domains, tasks, knowledge, and skills covered in the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management.

 

Course objectives:
    • Identify steps required to complete the exam application and satisfy the eligibility requirements
    • Integrate the Examination Content Outline with the performance domains outlined in The Standard for Program Management, 3rd Edition
    • Successfully prepare class participants to pass the PMI PgMP® certification examination

Instructor Biography: 
Shika is the President of L.M. Carter Consulting, Inc. which provides business consulting and training services in the areas of portfolio, program, and project management. She has managed complex technology projects in the financial services, telecommunications, and transportation industries. Her expertise includes business analysis, strategic planning and development, information security management, and establishing IT governance processes to achieve successful business outcomes.

As a seasoned professional with twenty years of experience, Shika focuses on improving the delivery of technology solutions through the implementation of best practices for project and program management, PMO setup, and requirements management. In addition, she delivers project management training for various organizations and conferences, including PMI SeminarsWorld, and has served as a presenter for the PMI PMO Symposium 2013.

Shika is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Program Management Professional (PgMP®), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®). She received her bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and is a member of PMI’s core team responsible for drafting the Practice Standard for Requirements Management.
