The PMI Atlanta AEC Forum is a focus group that hosts regular events with ranging topics in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. We will show the importance of solid project management in these related fields of study.

Presentation

  • Overview and mission of the department of transportation

  • How programs/projects are identified and programmed

  • Office of Program Delivery’s role in delivering projects for the citizens of Georgia

  • Management of projects and public outreach

  • Overview of construction projects

Biography

Nesbitt-KimberlyKimberly Wells Nesbitt is a graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology awarded in 1998. Kimberly has been with the Georgia Department of Transportation for over 18 years.  She began her career as a designer in the Office of Traffic Operations. She was a contract negotiator in the Office of Consultant Design and Program Delivery specializing with A&E (architecture and engineering) contracts.   However the majority of her career has been focused on project management in several offices with the Department. She is currently the State Program Delivery Administrator in the Office of Program Delivery.
