The PMI Atlanta Healthcare Forum has 9 planned sessions throughout 2017. Proposed topics include IT & IT PMO in Healthcare, Healthcare SME/Domain Forums such as Clinical, Laboratory, Research, Tomorrow's Healthcare & Government practices/law, Thought Leadership in Healthcare, and Innovation in Healthcare Technology.
The point of care is not evolving…it’s transforming, it’s exploding...
Ambulatory care is expected to grow 30% over the next five years; telemedicine consults will grow 700%; enter Uber healthcare (who would of thunk it?), kiosk physician visits and personalized genomic precision medicine… all are emerging as real tools...And soon the Home will be “King” along with wherever you care to be.
Outcomes-based health care is shaping the new care delivery landscape. Will executives need to think more competitively as wellness, health maintenance and primary care services become more retail in nature, and patient loyalty and engagement take center stage? Discussions will focus on how best to align products with lifestyle, conventional consumer-based values, and brand feelings.
Bud provides business growth and expansion bench strength to organizations focused on capturing multi-million dollar opportunities in the new value-based, consumer-directed marketplace. He executes strategy; provides development leadership, interim project management and consultative support.
His passion is healthcare; placing action behind strategy; bringing business solutions to market that transform the way wellness and patient care are delivered. Most recently Bud served as a corporate executive at WellStar Health System, the largest healthcare system in Georgia where he successfully led start-up operations that productized the business concept for a $200 million ambulatory care initiative called WellStar Health Parks; a facility concept that integrates medical services, retail and wellness into a one-stop, consumer-focused care delivery system.
He was a founding representative of the Washington DC based change agent, The Center for Health Transformation and is the past director of telehealth and healthcare markets at Polycom, Inc. a top-tier, global communication Technologies Company. Bud co-founded and developed PlexiaCare 24-7, a contract services and telemedicine business platform that established the revenue model for on-demand remote acute stroke intervention. He led the market entry into Medicare on-site outpatient services for Neotonus, Inc. an Atlanta-based Urology medical device start-up.
Recent business background reflects a full career well established in care delivery fundamentals. Senior corporate development roles tackled ambitious national growth initiatives including M&A, outsourced partnership ventures and contact services with publically traded companies; Tenet Healthcare, Health Images MRI Centers, Mariner Post-Acute Network and ARAMARK.
Bud is an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where earned his MBA and a B.S. degree in Business Administration, consumer behavior and market analytics.
