PMI-PBA® Prep Course
Business analysis is a competency that teams must master to deliver a solution of value - let alone deliver on-time, on-budget, and within scope - yet according to PMI Pulse of the ProfessionTM research (2016) - poor requirements are a leading cause for project failure. Whether you are responsible for eliciting the requirements or leading the project, acquiring solid business analysis skills is imperative. 

This course provides an in-depth review of the business analysis processes, knowledge, skills, and techniques as discussed in PMIs business analysis standards - The PMI Guide to Business Analysis and Business Analysis for Practitioners: A Practice Guide. The materials within this course provide a solid overview of the activities commonly performed by those fulfilling business analysis roles on programs and projects.   

This PMI-PBA® prep course is intended to prepare students who are interested in sitting for the PMI-PBA® exam as well as anyone who is interested in completing an in-depth exploration of the business analysis profession. Business analysis managers, PMI directors, and heads of business analysis consultancy practices have gleaned great benefit from the information contained in this course.

BA Fundamentals (8 hours)

Business analysis is a core competency all project/product teams must understand, yet so many teams fail to master the basics of this important work. In fact, PMI research has uncovered that one of the top reasons for project failure is attributed to poor requirements. Whether you are managing the project or personally responsible for the business analysis related activities of requirements development and management - your success is based upon understanding business analysis fundamentals.

This course has been developed to provide the basics of business analysis. Beginning with an overview of what business analysis entails - students are then led through a thorough description of the areas of knowledge, commonly performed processes, basic terminology, and a comparison between project management and business analysis. If you are not confident in your understanding of business analysis or are looking for a course to refresh your skills - this course provides that solid introduction and baseline of knowledge that no team member should be without.
