Laura has a diverse background rooted in problem solving and relationship building, finding that often these two go hand in hand.   She has solid expertise that has eliminated inefficiencies and saved millions of dollars.  Good communication skills and a reliable history of performance have ensured that Laura is a highly sought after team leader.   She values the collaborative experience and understands the strategy of including pivotal relationships to accomplish long-term goals.

Laura is passionate about volunteerism and advancing the Project Management profession.  She has given over 6 years to the effort of guiding PMI Atlanta to becoming a regional educational provider to the Project Management industry.   She is an effective communicator with a genuine desire for helping others improve both their personal and professional situation.  As an avid Atlanta volunteer for multiple organizations, this has given her extensive experience managing a wide range of volunteer service groups resulting in increased community participation and support.

A challenging experience is not lost on Laura, but seen as an opportunity to learn, teach, collaborate, expand on existing skills, and foster new relationships.   She is especially passionate about increasing the knowledge of those around her to help them better understand their environment and elevate their profession.    

A gifted collaborator, Laura has crossed the boundary between the technical and operations areas of the business.   Her professional experience includes expertise in the Supply Chain industry covering Distribution/Warehousing; and, all modes of domestic and international transportation.   She has worked in the consumer products, paper, beverage and telecom industries to negotiate local, and international multi-million dollar contracts; oversee systems upgrades; release management; and, software implementations as well as test and build data info cubes for Business Intelligence; and, design performance metrics for Data Warehouse scorecards.

Laura thrives on the opportunity to increase her knowledge and skill-set; she enjoys pushing her personal limits and sharing the results and seeing success in others.  She has been PMP and Green Belt Six Sigma Certified since 2006.  

Laura enjoys her leadership role with PMI Certification & Education because of the amazing team that she is a part of and continues to be impressed with the generosity of time, encouragement, and support of all of the volunteers that make PMI successful.
