On March 19, 2013, the PMI Atlanta Agile Interest Group heard a presentation by Mark Kilby of Rally Software on "Agile in the Large” (also referred to as “scaled agile”). With recent publications and websites about Dean Leffingwell’s Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), there is now a clear prescriptive path on how a 100-plus person program can launch simultaneously.
This talk looked back at some of the last few years of Rally’s large scale agile roll outs what worked, what didn't and how to truly be SAFe in a large scale agile transition.
