Earn 16 PDUs!

Description:

This course covers the similarities and differences between managing a megaproject, group of non-related projects (i.e. multiple project management), program, portfolio and Program/Project Management Office (PMO). The world's best-run organizations have identified these advanced project management disciplines as highly valued core competencies. The best practices associated with each provide a vehicle for achieving both organizational and career success. Also included are overviews of The Standard for Portfolio Management and The Standard for Program Management, as published by PMI. These standards outline the body of knowledge applicable to earning the PfMP and PgMP credentials, repectively.

The topics presented specifically align with PMI’s new recertification requirements for all PMP, PgMP, PfMP and PMI-PBA credential holders, which go into effect later this year. For more details, visit www.pmi.org. Going forward, these credential holders will still need to earn 60 PDU every three (3) years. What is changing is that your 60 PDUs will need to include at least eight (8) PDUs in each of the following three (3) categories:

  • Technical Project Management – Knowledge, skills and behaviors related to Project, Program and Portfolio Management.
  • Leadership – Knowledge, skills and behaviors specific to leadership-oriented, cross-cutting skills that help an organization achieve its business goals.
  • Business and Strategic Management – Knowledge of and expertise in the industry or organization that enhances and better delivers business outcomes.

The Participant Guide provided to each attendee, at no additional cost, has been professionally prepared by a PMI approved Registered Education Provider (REP). This highly interactive course also includes supplemental self-directed learning, that is eligible for additional Professional Development Units (PDUs).
