Earn 8 PDUs!

PMI Talent Triangle PDU Category: Leadership

Description:

Deliver project success by learning these highly valued interpersonal and cross-cutting skills that have allowed others to become truly great project leaders/managers. Projects have far greater risks and uncertainties than day-to- day operations. Consequently, projects are seldom executed exactly as planned. This is why good problem solving and decision making skills are so critical to both project and career success.

The topics covered specifically align with the PMI’s new Continuing Certification Requirement (CCR) for all PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and PMI-PBA credential holders, which began taking effect in December 2015. For more details, visit www.pmi.org. Going forward, these credential holders will still need to earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDU) every three (3) years, just like in the past. What is changing is their 60 PDUs will need to include at least eight (8) PDUs in each of the following three (3) categories:

1. Technical Project Management – Knowledge, skills and behaviors related to Project, Program and Portfolio Management.

2. Leadership – Knowledge, skills and behaviors specific to leadership-oriented skills that help an organization achieve its business goals. Examples include problem solving and decision making.

3. Business and Strategic Management – Knowledge of and expertise in the industry or organization that enhances performance and better delivers business outcomes.

This course is eligible for 8 PDUs in the Leadership category above. The Participant Guide provided to each attendee, at no additional cost, has been professionally prepared by a PMI approved Registered Education Provider (REP). This highly interactive course also includes supplemental self-directed learning, eligible for additional PDUs, needed to meet the 60 PDU total.
