With the slogan "Make History, Bring PMI to Athens," the first meeting of the Project Management Institute Athens Committee was called to order on February 1, 2012. PMI Athens Committee is a newly established group which is part of the PMI Atlanta Chapter. The PMI Atlanta Chapter is ranked as the third largest PMI Chapter in the world with over 4,000 members. PMI Atlanta serves the North Georgia and Metro Atlanta area across all industries. The goal of PMI Atlanta, Athens Committee is to serve the Athens business and academic communities by leveraging what PMI Atlanta has to offer, such as quality programs and opportunities for professional networking. In addition, Athens Committee wants to promote and support the growth of the Project Management profession in the Athens area and to provide a positive and significant impact on the Athens communities.
