Technology (Virtual) Forum - 200526

Webinar

"Leveraging Stakeholders for Project Success"
presented by Cyndi Whitehead, Business Management Consultant, Q4 Results, Inc.

PMI Atlanta Technology Forum provides an environment for Project Managers to adopt and benefit from the latest technology in their professional life and career. The forum also plans to bring speakers to discuss & share the best practices in technology.

PresentationWhitehead-Cyndi

The most profound asset (and the biggest threat) to the success of your project is its stakeholders. In this session we will review the following concepts:

  • Identifying/Categorizing all the people, groups and organizations impacted by your project – and avoiding the pitfalls of not seeing the big picture
  • Best practices for analyzing, planning and monitoring stakeholder engagement – and lessons learned from “just winging it”
  • Strategies for productively managing stakeholder engagement – and tips for dealing “the human nature” aspect of working with stakeholders

Proactively leveraging stakeholder involvement throughout the entire lifecycle will have a significant positive impact on successful project execution!

Due to coronavirus concerns, we will be hosting this event through webinar. Because of this change, member rate is now $8 and non-member rate is $10.

Governance Forum (Virtual) - 200527

Webinar

"Governance in an Agile Environment"
presented by Joe Sisto, Director, IT PMO

The Governance Forum provides value to the PMI Atlanta community by offering participants:

Discussion of field-tested best practices, Decisions frameworks to assess culture and apply optimal strategy, Key takeaways to “take to work tomorrow” to maximize realization of value through introduction and standardization of best practices in the oversight and execution of projects, programs, and portfolios.

PresentationSisto-Joe

Scaled Agile (SAFe 5) 5 is presented as an approach towards large scale mature agile governance.   However, when an organization lacks the resources and maturity to implement SAfe 5, then another, more simplified approach is presented, using coaching, the capability maturity model and dashboards.  Examples will be shown.

During the session, the topic will be opened up for discussion to provide feedback on other models people have seen work, and how perhaps SAFe is being implemented in the organization. We expect this to be lively as we use some Agile practices to vote on what works and what does not!
