2019 Project Management Day of Service for PMThe Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) started as a one-day skilled based event hosted by the Atlanta Chapter in 2018. The new resolution intends to provide nonprofits with pro bono (free, professional) project management services to help them address their most difficult challenges. We do this by bringing together local project managers (PMs) with nonprofits who are working hard to serve their communities. The PMs help the nonprofits to scope and plan projects that allow the nonprofits to do more to serve their communities. The potential impact is enormous as newly minted project manager, CAPM, undergraduate, and graduate pm students can shadow certified PM during the day of service. We aim to advance the current understanding of PMBOK by exposing students to challenges and obstacles they might encounter as a project manager.
