Presentation Details

Throughout 2021, there were numerous celebrations of the longevity and impact brought forth by the creation of the Agile Manifesto and what many consider the subsequent Agile ‘movement’. However, have there been efforts to incorporate into that seminal document changes in the business and technology landscape of the past two decades? During this forum, the speaker will describe how Cliff Berg, Lisa Cooney, and a diverse group of Agile practitioners set out to help close the gap on the deficiencies that detractors are all-to-willing to parrot.

Additional topics to be explored include:

  • A brief explanation of what is Agile 2, and how it differs from ‘Classic Agile’
  • A run-through of Agile 2’s Values and Principles
  • M.C.’s personal career journey—which can also be viewed in iterations

Learning objectives:

  • Gaining an appreciation for the ever-changing, living nature of Agile, because Agile has changed
  • Embracing portions of Agile 2 that make sense in your situation
  • Recognizing behaviors and ways of working which align ideas within Agile 2
  • Understanding how to iterate your own career to achieve your goals and aspiration
