Agile is a popular alternative to traditional project management, but it is not a panacea. Learn about some of the challenges of an agile approach as well as some possible solutions. What are the challenges of being flexible and accommodating but still trying to meet a predetermined budget and schedule? How do you allow a team to be “self-directed” and yet still accomplish objectives on time? These challenges and more will be discussed, along with additional helpful information that you will not want to miss.
Biography
Shirley Hinton, PMP, PMI-ACP, DASSM, SMC, SCT, ITIL 4 Strategist: DPI (Direct, Plan, Improve), etc. has been teaching agile and project management certification classes for over twenty years, is named in the PMBoK, and is a globally recognized Premiere PMI Authorized Training Partner Instructor through TeachPath Training and at various colleges.
Shirley is a contributor and reviewer for many project management books, including the popular PMI® Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), PMI’s Guide to Program Management (PgMP), and PMI’s Guide to Risk Management. Ms. Hinton’s credentials include several levels of scrum certification and project management certification, and she enjoys teaching others how to use project management and agile principles effectively to save time, money, and stress.
Ms. Hinton has helped thousands achieve their personal goals of becoming certified as a Scrum Master (PMI-ACP, DASM, DASSM, SMC), as a PMP, a CAPM, and more. Her presentations always include practical insights that contribute towards greater personal and professional success.
