Architectural, Engineering, & Construction (AEC) Forum - 171114
"U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) transforming to Risk Informed Decision Making"
Presented by Deborah Hesse Scerno, Sr. Environmental Planner, South Atlantic Division, US Army Corps of Engineers
The PMI Atlanta AEC Forum is a focus group that hosts regular events with ranging topics in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. We will show the importance of solid project management in these related fields of study.
Presentation Details
Currently USACE project and program management meetings focus on milestones and budget, especially on whether or not they will be met. Discussions in those meetings often focus on the cause for an increase in cost or a delay - but rarely do they focus on the risks that were considered in the decisions that were made leading up to those increases or delays.
Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.
