"Strategic PMO – Driving Outcomes"
Presented by Smriti Motwani, PMO & Operations for NCR

The PMI Atlanta AEC Forum is a focus group that hosts regular events with ranging topics in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. We will show the importance of solid project management in these related fields of study.

Presentation

To remain viable in today’s fast-paced world, the project management office (PMO) needs to evolve from tactical projects to enabling programs that drive business outcomes. High performing PMO’s are aligned to the strategic priorities of a company and help empower executive teams to make quick decisions and address roadblocks to achieve better business outcomes.

Strategic PMOs are moving from being involved at the implementation phase of product delivery to being engaged at the strategic and discovery stages of product lifecycle. In addition, Strategic PMOs are responsible for establishing best practices and standards from a company-wide view.
