The PMI Atlanta AEC Forum is a focus group that hosts regular events with ranging topics in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. We will show the importance of solid project management in these related fields of study.

Presentation Details

The last few years have seen a meteoric rise in disciplines related to using and exploring large quantities of data (Big Data), such as Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. A part of the Artificial Intelligence domain, Machine Learning took hold in many corporations and started impacting the business outcomes. In turn, Project Managers are suddenly facing a different type of project they are asked to manage: The Machine Learning project.

This presentation is addressed to experienced Project Managers who want to understand how to manage Machine Learning projects, what are the specific challenges they will face, and what are some best practices to help them successfully deliver business value.

Zorina Alliata is a Project Management professional who has extensive experience managing software projects and has spent the last six years working in Machine Learning and Data Science teams and delivering data analytics and predictive modeling projects. Zorina currently works as a Sr Machine Learning Strategist at Amazon Web Services.
