"Project Management: A Strategic Resource for Tough Times" by Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin, Editor-in-Chief at PM Solutions Research

Presentation Details

In January 2021, PM Solutions Research conducted a survey to determine what project management strategies companies had used during the pandemic to continue meeting goals, and how well those had worked, both within projects, and for the organization as a whole. The most compelling finding was that organizations achieved better performance in 2020 than in previous years! We'll look into possible reasons for this performance boost, including the heavier reliance on virtual project management strategies and tools, and virtual training. We'll also look at the cultural differences between high and low performers in the study, in terms of defining the qualities of trust, transparency, and agility that contribute to a thriving organization--even in the most challenging times. Finally, we'll look at differences between industries in the study, focusing on Professional Services and Manufacturing, as well as a few related case studies.
