Architectural, Engineering, & Construction (Virtual) Forum - 230509

"An Introduction to Digital Twins" presented by Pieter van Schalkwyk, CEO at XMPro

The PMI Atlanta AEC Forum is a focus group that hosts regular events with ranging topics in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. We will show the importance of solid project management in these related fields of study.

Presentation Details

In this presentation Pieter van Schalkwyk will introduce the capabilities and transformational power of Digital Twins.

In addition to covering the fundamentals of Digital Twins, Pieter will take a deep-dive into the world of Composable Digital Twins. A Composable Digital Twin, is an application development approach, based on an agile, composable enterprise architectural pattern.

The Digital Twin Capabilities Periodic Table (CPT) will serve as the guiding framework for this discussion. As the name suggests, the CPT focuses on use case capabilities. The CPT framework profoundly simplifies the process of creating requirements specifications in large-scale, complex environments. It is easy to share, easy to understand, and facilitates collaboration, brainstorming and ultimately shopfloor application.

By the end of the presentation, attendees will have a solid grasp of what Digital Twins are, why they are important, and how to get started. Whether exploring Digital Twin technology for the first time or looking to enhance your current understanding, this presentation will provide the insights and guidance you need to unlock the full potential of Digital Twins.
