Presentation Details 

Agile Strategic Planning changes strategic planning from an event into a process, enabling teams the ability to more effectively plan and execute a plan that is embraced by their organization. This session discusses the various components (mission, vision, objectives, and SWOT) and schedule. Learn to apply Agile values to make the plan useful, as follows:

• Individual and team interactions over processes and tools.
• Strategic planning over comprehensive documentation.
• Customer collaboration over contract negotiation.
• Responding to change over following a plan

Presenter Biography

Gary Rush, IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator | Master (CPF | M), is Founder & CEO of MGR Consulting. As a leading group facilitator and trainer with over 40 years experience, Gary has created his own facilitation technique – FoCuSeD™ – a unique approach to structured facilitation. He has already trained thousands of people from more than 18 countries in the process. Training has been conducted in 8 countries within North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Many of his students have gone on to become CEOs and CIOs, crediting their success to the skills gained in Gary’s facilitator training classes.

FoCuSeD™ Facilitator Academy is an IAF Endorsed™ Comprehensive Program with in-person and online classes that are self-directed and self-paced. There are also webinars and a Train-the-Trainer Program that instructs students on “how to” teach the Holistic Structured Facilitation™ Technique.

Gary is also the author of numerous books covering facilitation, collaborative leadership, strategic planning, and data modeling.

Among accomplishments: Gary facilitated the first strategic plan for the combined EDS/GM organization. He facilitated the Star Alliance workshop that identified in-flight Wi-Fi as a product offering. He is an IAF CPF Assessor and former IAF Chair. And, he attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis and holds a BS in English Literature.

When not facilitating, Gary enjoys cooking. In fact, he is the former owner and chef of a highly acclaimed restaurant in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico – MG Rush dba Miracles Restaurant.
