"The Intrapreneur Advantage: Run Your Career Like a Business — Without Quitting Your Job" presented by Chris Kopp, PMP
What if the biggest competitive advantage you had wasn't a new certification or a job change, but a completely different way of thinking about the job you already have?
In this engaging and high-energy session, Chris Kopp challenges project management professionals to stop thinking like employees and start operating like intrapreneurs, running their careers, departments, and contributions like a business within a business. Drawing on decades of real-world experience across project delivery, operations, marketing, sales, and finance, this session delivers a proven five-pillar framework that you can apply immediately to increase your value, expand your influence, and create new income opportunities, all without burning out or walking away.
Whether you're a seasoned PM or early in your career, this session will change how you show up on Monday morning.
Key Takeaways:
- How to apply the five core disciplines of intrapreneurship (Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Attitude) to your PM career
- Practical strategies for making your skills rare, indispensable, and visible inside your organization
- How to build a personal brand through original content, networking, and thought leadership
- The importance of knowing your worth and your personal numbers
- The mindset shifts around risk tolerance, adaptability, and viewing feedback as a gift, that separate high-impact professionals from the rest
- Real-life stories and a candid personal journey that will inspire you to view your employer as your customer
