Nishi Patel has over 12 years of experience working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Microbiologist. She has worked in BSL-2, -3, and -4 laboratories handling multiple pathogens (such Ebola, Rift Valley Fever, Lassa, Marburg, and Hanta viruses) providing technical training.  During her time at the CDC she has worked with numerous international collaborators in Africa, Asia, and South America to establish laboratory capacity and surveillance practices.
