Presentation

What does it take to establish a Governance Risk and Compliance Program? This topic is about the GRC advisory role in building Enterprise Resilience. We will discuss the role GRC plays in alignment across the company leadership board, in alignment companywide, and alignment along the values of a given company. We will look at processes involved, including technology support and operational nuances.
In this aspect, Governance brings value to companies by building up robust frameworks of procedures for enterprise resilience and risk management that are also aligned with Cybersecurity, Legal and Operational regulations, best practices and compliance standards. In the security and operational stature of a project, the GRC umbrella term may mean:

  • IT Audit preparation and Audit management
  • Business operations support
  • Analytics and ongoing insight for Leadership on current risk posture
  • Training and awareness initiatives
  • Establishing clarity around processes
  • Establishing monitoring and controls required for reaching security and operational goals

We will discuss:

  • How to start the GRC Program and manage different components of the Program as Projects.
  • What does the success of GRC mean?
  • People aspect – how to get Leadership and companywide buy in.
  • How to incorporate compliance into daily enterprise operations and new projects.
