Biography     

Tana Glassford-Samuel is a retired IT executive who most recently spent more than 20 years in healthcare IT leadership. She transitioned into IT in 2000, intentionally leveraging her MBA from Babson College with a concentration in MIS to begin her journey in IT Governance—just as the industry was embracing the idea of Running IT as a Business.

Since earning her PMI PMP® in 2005, Tana has led transformational initiatives that designed new organizations, rewrote processes, and integrated governance practices across portfolios. Time and again, when the work was complete, she became the natural choice to lead what she helped build. This very pattern led to her selection as IT Principal Program Manager for a DevOps transformation and leader of the DevOps Center of Excellence for kp.org at Kaiser Permanente.

Shaped by her early years of studying W. Edwards Deming at UCLA, Tana brings a depth of knowledge in designing processes that keep the flow of work predictable and aligned to business value. Today, she serves as Office Manager at Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, GA, and channels her leadership into volunteer roles as AVP of Special Interest Forums and Agile Program Manager for PMI Atlanta, where she builds meaningful connections and inspires others to achieve excellence.
