The PMI Atlanta Healthcare Forum has 9 planned sessions throughout 2019. Proposed topics include IT & IT PMO in Healthcare, Healthcare SME/Domain Forums such as Clinical, Laboratory, Research, Tomorrow's Healthcare & Government practices/law, Thought Leadership in Healthcare, and Innovation in Healthcare Technology.

Presentation 

MedShare is a humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, communities and our planet by sourcing and directly delivering surplus medical supplies and equipment to communities in need around the world.

Over the past five years MedShare embarked on a new path, moving from a traditional nonprofit model to become a global impact organization. The forum presentation will outline the journey our organization has been on, the challenges we’ve had along the way, and the successes we’ve realize.

ChernockJasonBiography

Jason Chernock serves as Director of Programs and Partnerships for MedShare, a global humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, communities and our planet by sourcing and directly delivering surplus medical supplies and equipment to communities in need around the world. Within this role he focuses on building partnerships with the healthcare industry to advance the mission of MedShare and oversees the organization’s national gift-in-kind strategy. Jason joined MedShare in 2014, and has 17 years of experience working for non-profit, community and economic development organizations.

Prior to joining MedShare, Jason served as a Project Manager with the Enterprise Innovation Institute and part of EI2’s team of Community Innovation Specialists (CIS). The CIS team partnered with communities across Georgia to implement creative approaches to economic development, foster public engagement, support entrepreneurs and small businesses, and support foundations and nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Jason worked at Market Street Services, an economic development consulting firm, and with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
