Presentation

The global COVID-19 pandemic created an urgency for employees to work virtually to support their organizations while maintaining social distancing to control the spread of the virus (Saran, 2020), which altered the traditional working in the office overnight (Mello & Tomei, 2021).

This presentation illuminates perceived motivational competencies of Information Communication Technology (ICT) for communication amongst project managers in different industries. During this presentation, Abegail will discuss the five major motivational competencies that will prepare project managers to build high-performing virtual teams:

  • Build interpersonal relationships
  • Foster autonomy and accountability
  • Develop effective communication
  • Influence people
  • Show empathy
