Presentation

Given the number and diversity of people affected, deploying or upgrading clinical IT infrastructure is never easy. Proper change management is critical to ensure a positive user experience and acceptance of a new system. This presentation will provide the following learning objectives focusing on deployment and the development of a scalable, repeatable strategy for site readiness and change management:

1) Discuss the importance of proper change management for complex healthcare IT projects

2) Describe the change management process and its key phases

3) Examine tools and techniques to ease user adoption of IT changes

Biography        

Bruce Gay, PMP, CSM helps individuals improve their business skills, become better leaders, and achieve professional greatness. Bruce is a well-received speaker in the areas of design thinking, project management, cross-team collaboration, and AI tools for projects, and has presented at regional and international conferences.

Over the last two decades, Bruce managed product teams that incorporated UX Design and Design Thinking methodologies into their product development processes. Bruce currently runs his own freelance training and consulting business called Astrevo (www.astrevo.com).

Bruce lives in Pittsburgh, with his wife, two daughters, and his dogs. He is an active volunteer within the PM community and served as Director of Corporate Sponsorship for PMI Pittsburgh.
