What has been your favorite or most rewarding volunteer experience with PMI Atlanta?
It is impossible to narrow down the most rewarding experience of volunteering with PMI Atlanta for over 10 years. However, to participate in aiding and supporting the PMI Atlanta community, in the endeavors of Project Management training, education and certification is an enormous reward. I am very honored to be a part of the PMI Atlanta family.

How did you become interested in the project management profession?
As a person who is always looking to improve her skills and become professionally diverse, I became interested in the project management profession while employed as an implementation engineer for a telecom company.

Are there any project management resources you find particularly helpful?
The project management resources I find particularly most helpful are the Lunch Meetings, Webinars, and Tips by other volunteers, leaders and staff. The lunch meetings enables me to interact with other professionals, broaden my PMI Atlanta network, along with gaining additional training and education on a diverse and wide range of PM topics. The webinar resources are very helpful because of the flexibility in access to a wide range of PM subject matter. The PM resources have aided me in staying abreast of the PMI Community, PMI best practices, along with aiding in keeping my certification up to date.

What leisurely activities do you enjoy? Any little known fact that you’d like to share?
I love to travel. I have been afforded the opportunity to travel abroad to Dubai and Europe. I also enjoy the beaches and soaking up the sun in the Caribbean. When not traveling, my free time activities include going to plays, concerts, reading and spending time with family and friends.
