Entertainment (Virtual) Forum - 260611

06-11-2026 6:00 pm -7:15 pm
Webinar
$12.00

"Building and Adapting Project Management Systems for Live Events" presented by Tracy DeWinter, Director of Production at Live Events

The PMI Atlanta Entertainment Forum is focused on expanding knowledge and appreciation of Project Management and its benefits in unconventional fields by providing informational, educational, and networking events for individuals in various roles in the entertainment industry.

The entertainment industry encompasses those businesses involved in providing entertainment to audiences across a wide range of platforms and experiences. This includes media such as film, television, radio, and theater; the music industry; sports; fine arts; and digital entertainment, including gaming.

Presentation DeWinter-Tracy

Live Events require a lot of pre-planning to execute. Every show is unique in scope, equipment, and challenges, but a core system is necessary to manage timelines and resources. A timeline for one show is a lot to manage, now think about taking on 5-10 at a time, that is the task for our Project Managers!

We are a growing company and now have operations across the country. Each operating location has their own way of getting a show out the door, but the only way to scale is to unify, that’s where I come in. As Director of Production, I am working closely with all our operating locations to adapt a system that works well for one, to work well for them all, while not upsetting the people and everyday work being done. The goal is consistency for our teams and our clients, even as we grow; every show is important and needs to be handled thoroughly with care and thoughtfulness.

Why This Topic Is Relevant

Live events offer a powerful example of project management in action, where timelines are tight, resources are shared, and every show has unique requirements. This session will show how project managers help growing organizations bring consistency, structure, and care to fast-moving work without disrupting the people doing it.

Key Takeaways

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Manage multiple projects with consistency
  • Support change without disrupting teams
  • Connect planning to client experience

Clinical Research (Virtual) Forum - 260623

06-23-2026 6:00 pm -7:15 pm
Webinar
$12.00

"From Monitoring to Insight: How Project Managers Drive Risk-Based Strategies in Modern Clinical Trials" presented by Elizabeth Adeusi, Senior Project Manager at ICON PLC

The Clinical Research Forum provides value to the PMI Atlanta community by regularly discussing the various aspects of clinical trial projects with a special focus on the need to anticipate, understand, and implement detailed project management activities in a proactive manner for clinical trials in the pharmaceutical industry.

Presentation Details Adeusi-Elizabeth

As clinical trials become increasingly complex and data-driven, project managers are no longer just overseeing execution, they are driving how risk is identified, prioritized, and acted upon to ensure data integrity, protect patient safety, and keep studies on track.

Traditional monitoring approaches are no longer sufficient to ensure quality, efficiency, and patient safety. Risk-based strategies help teams focus on the most critical data and risks that impact study outcomes.

This session explores how project managers play a key role in translating data into actionable insight. Drawing on real-world clinical trial experience, it will demonstrate how risk indicators and data-driven approaches can be used to proactively identify risks, prioritize actions, and support informed decision-making.

Attendees will gain practical strategies to apply risk-based thinking, improve resource allocation, and align cross-functional teams in fast-paced, complex environments - within clinical research and beyond.

Key Takeaways

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Recognize the project manager's role in risk-based clinical trial strategies.
  • Use risk indicators and data to support proactive decision-making.
  • Prioritize actions and resources around the most critical study risks.
  • Improve cross-functional alignment in complex project environments.
  • Apply risk-based thinking beyond clinical research.
