presented by Bill Richardson, PMP, PgMP, CSM. Cert APM, ACC

The PMI Atlanta Healthcare Forum has 9 planned sessions throughout 2020. PresentationRichardson-Bill

Project managers, as vanguards of change, are one of the few professions who have the ways and means of effectively responding to today’s volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (often referred to as VUCA). As humans, we have a choice in how we respond to VUCA – be paralyzed or be energized. How risk is managed in a project determines which of these two outcomes unfold for stakeholders.

In this presentation, Bill provides an entertaining and inspiring look at why project managers need to learn how to better mobilize their stakeholders to embrace shared ownership of risk management. The Project Management Institute (PMI) in their publication of PMBOK 6.0 elevated the need for this shift by clearly stating that risk is no longer considered something PMs control but rather something that PMs monitor and prepare for (page 648 section X1.19 Section 11). The bottom line is that shared ownership among all stakeholders needs to become the new normal for risk management to be effective in times of calm or crisis. Remember, good risk management fosters vigilance in times of calm and instills discipline in times of crisis.

PresentationConnell-Desiree

As we’ve seen over the past several months, industries around the world have experienced unprecedented change faster than anyone could have imagined.

Supply chains, revenue streams, and business operations have all been disrupted resulting in turbulent market conditions and the need to adapt to an unstable, unpredictable working environment.

The entertainment industry is facing a multitude of variables to cover without any prior experiences to learn from or base strategy on.

The Producers, Unions, and Production Management all take health and safety standards seriously, and while our financial side projects estimates, we cannot guarantee outcomes on costs or legal necessities on day to day operations.
