PM APPROACH SPOTTER'S GUIDE
You have a new project that you've been assigned to kick off. One of the most important questions for you and your sponsor to address is 'what approach will we use to manage this project?' -- Agile? Waterfall? Something in between? A PM Approach Spotter's Guide can help. This Spotter's Guide is a simple tool for evaluating the project's characteristics against the different approaches available to pick the best approach for your specific project, but also identify risk factors associated with that choice that will need to be mitigated should you take that approach.

The purpose of this session is to share a sample Spotter's Guide so that you can begin recognizing and improving your choices as a project manager. We will walk through the Guide so that you understand how it works. Then, we will step through the process for walking through the Guide with your sponsor so that you can jointly align on the right choice and discuss risk mitigations to be addressed.
