Biography
Nara Acharya is a Senior Manager in the Software Development and Integration Practice at Sogeti, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cap Gemini S.A and a global leader in information technology consulting. He has over 20 years of experience in information technology, with a broad background in project management, technology consulting, technical architecture, systems integration and software development.
Nara has worked in the telecommunications, financial services, healthcare and retail industries and has extensive client-facing experience, leading and managing cross functional, geographically distributed teams. He has managed software development and infrastructure projects implemented using both Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
Nara has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India and an M.S. in Systems Science from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. He has been a metro Atlanta resident since 1996 and an active volunteer with PMI Atlanta since 2009. In his spare time, Nara volunteers with his sons' Boy Scouts troop, his employer Sogeti's community service activities and follows LSU sports. He currently lives with his wife and twin boys in Alpharetta, GA.
