Biography

Kay BillBill Kay currently serves PMI Atlanta Chapter as the VP of Operations. Bill graduated with honors from Regis University's College of Professional Studies, Denver, Colorado, with a Master of Science Degree. Bill's decision to pursue his graduate credentials in three related and essential business areas: Organization Leadership, Project Management, and Strategic Business Management ultimately led him to PMI's doorstep. He joined PMI in 2007 and PMP certified upon completing his graduate studies. Following some local chapter involvement, Bill served 2-years as a global evaluator for PMI's Professional Awards Program, the David I. Cleland Project Management Literature Award. This experience combined with Bill's passion for project management led to PMI Knowledge Shelf publishing a peer-reviewed technical article he authored. The article "Six on the Path to Financiallv Justified Projects: Developing Cash Flow Models" examines the information and knowledge project managers require to produce cash flow models that are taken seriously and supportthe organization's project selection process. Bill has been an effective catalyst driving transformational change across his complementary executive leadership roles overseeing operations, sales and project management. He has worked in several industries: wireless, telecom, logistics, technology, consulting and outsourcing.
