Presentation

‘May we live in interesting times' paraphrasing a Chinese philosopher. Intended as a curse - I see opportunity and exciting times in healthcare Johnson-Charlesand business. Today we have the possibility to revolutionize these fields in ways we could have never predicted. Now we have the tech to integrate using IoT infrastructure with Big Data / AI analytics, technology like wearables, robotic process automation (RPA), Imaging and DNA Genetics, complete medical histories and robotic surgery making variability almost zero, and defects, a thing of the past. I had a vision to move from reporting to business intelligence - Data to Knowledge to Wisdom to Action became the mission.

Technology now allows us to be game changers again. What if:

  • Pharmaceutical testing trials never end - real time efficacy results are integrated with patient treatment.
  • 3D imaging integrated with robotic surgery eliminates variability and human error while decreasing the risk of infections and recovery.
  • "UBER" health care delivery - an AI powered app through a smart device diagnosis illness comparing a database of billions of outcomes instantly and dispatches prescriptions or tests to your location in a manner of minutes.
  • Treatment outcomes are measured and modified real time. Dr. Experience will no longer be a variable. It will be based on millions of outcomes. As data grows, the results will be in a state of constant improvement.
  • Devices like wearables will integrate with DNA + lifestyle + nutrition to reduce illness and promote healthy happy lifestyles seamlessly.

Indeed! WE DO live in interesting times and I could not be more excited.

This discussion will be on change management, the consequences of not asking the right questions, and having a general discussion about how technology will impact each of us.
